Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations (IAKO) today announced a six-member squad to represent the country in the 3rd Indoor Asian Games to be held in Vietnam from October 30 to November 9. Orissa’s Pankaj Kumar Mahanta found a place in the squad, which would leave Delhi on October 31, accompanied by six officials.
The squad:
Women: Ratnadipti (Maharashtra, 50kg semi-contact), Ritika Mohan Singh (Maharashtra, 52kg low kick).
Men: Pankaj Kumar Mahanta (Orissa, 63kg semi-contact), Manoj (ITBP, 51kg low kick), Amir Khan (Maharashtra Police, 54kg low kick), S Lemba Mitei (Manipur, 67kg low kick).
Officials: Pradyumna Behera (Chief coach, Orissa), Umakant Singh (Assistant coach, Manipur), Harsh Dahia (Manager, Delhi), Santosh Agrowal (Assistant manager, Haryana), S S Harichandan (Jury member, Orissa), C A Tamboli (Technical official, Maharashtra).
